I have a long and complicated history with chickens. I have had many prior lives, and one of the more recent ones, I owned a restaurant that specialized in rotisserie chicken. For five years I washed prepped and handled chickens almost every day. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

Chickens and I go way back, long before my restaurant days. My mother’s nickname is Chickie, a name she received from her father. Therefor an easy gift for her, usually was some sort of chicken tchotchke or knick-nack. So from a young age I was surrounded by them.
